The Diabetes Centre (TDC) began in 2012 as a small container-based clinic and grew into Pakistan’s leading dedicated diabetes care institution. Over the years, it added foot care, ophthalmology, laboratory, dialysis, call centre, inpatient, operation and Type 1 diabetes services. With Hospital on Wheels, nationwide expansion, major partnerships, international representation and the Insan Dost Quaid-e-Azam Award, TDC continues advancing compassionate diabetes care.
TDC’s community outreach takes diabetes care beyond hospital walls into underserved communities. Through awareness sessions, screenings, free camps and Hospital on Wheels, TDC provides early diagnosis, counselling, specialist consultation, diagnostics, pharmacy support, education and complication screening in schools, workplaces, villages and remote areas. These initiatives transform TDC into a mobile, preventive and community-centred healthcare movement for people with limited access.
A Type 1 diabetes patient came to TDC when her family could not afford regular treatment, insulin and tests. At TDC, she received complete care free of cost, including consultation, medicines, education and follow-up support. With continuous guidance, her health is improving day by day. She is thankful to the TDC family and donor community for helping her live a healthier, more hopeful life
